LA FAYA 2018
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
"OUR JOURNEY, OUR STORIES"
The Cultural Historical Association of Rodriguans & Mauritians in Victoria (C.H.A.R.M Vic) sees the upcoming 2018 Jubilee Celebrations as an excellent opportunity to galvanise the support and involvement of our community members towards a common goal to celebrate this important milestone.
We are delighted to bring back La Faya Festival on Sunday 22 April 2018 at the new City of Casey Cultural Precinct, Bunjil Place, in Narre Warren from 12pm - 6pm.
La Faya 2018 “Our Journey, our Stories”, will celebrate our rich and diverse cultural heritage of Mauritians and Rodriguans settled in Victoria. This coincides with Mauritius Golden Jubilee of Independence and will celebrate 50+ years of successful migration of people from the islands of Mauritius and Rodrigues to Australia.
Sincere thanks to all performers, artists, caterers and event-day volunteers for responding to our call. YOU will help us rekindle and promote the spirit of unity and harmony as we celebrate this wonderful milestone in true Mauritian community spirit!
The festival program is shaping up, stay tuned for further details!
Talented performers are volunteering their time and talent to showcase traditional and contemporary music, song and dance from the islands of Mauritius, Rodrigues and Seychelles.
